He's booking tickets to go back. He says now, not more than a month, but back for Eid.
Strange thing happened yesterday.....
Baby is sick, and we've got a tutor in the house. So I keep reciting quran. Surah al Ikhlass, Al Falaq and Al Nass. Everytime I say the last word in Falaq, hubby's cell phone rings. WTH?
Do you know what the last word is? It's Hassad! It did it 8 times in a row, and I'm sitting with the 12 yr old. I tell her what is happening....so she says to me...say it out loud....so I do.
I come to the end and say.......hassad! 12 yr old looks at me for a micro second and says....
"See? The phone di......RING! RING!!!"
Ya, it did. It was freaky. Hubby came in the room before he left....and I told him what was going on. He was surprised......(but it wasn't her, btw!)

So this is the moment of truth.
Make sure that the baby's birth ceritficate is fixed BEFORE he leaves.
My gut feeling is that he was not able to stand up to his family in this, and that it is all too likely that he will revert to lies and sneaky behavior (enabled and encouraged by MM) as soon as his flight touches down in Toronto.
I would say that you should be prepared for anything. And as added protection, get your SIL to keep his brother on his ass via phone.
Hope for the best, but make some well laid plans for the worst.

I think Robin has a good point. It seems as if his plans continue to change. Insha'Allah he is truthful and things will be on the mend. I wish the best for you and the family, you know that right? Insha'Allah I am moving this week and the internet will be sparce but I still have my phone and I will still be checking up on you.....Love you....Salaam

honestly, i think everything will go back to the same..yalla. Time will decide if u made the right decision...but dont forget, u had the chance once, u cannot bring him back again with the "i wanna divorce"-thing...:(

I think he is scared and confused and I think MM is harassing him. IMHO he is flip flopping not because he wants to have his cake and eat it too, but because he truly does not know what to do. I don't think he was prepared for this situation (which goes back to not being prepared for p but whatevs). On some level I kinda feel bad for him.
