Ta winkle......

"twinkle twinkle little star....."

How many times have we sung this song? To ourselves, to our children.....while washing dishes in the kitchen? Does it ever hold a meaning to you? I've been thinking on it this morning......and decided to probe at it.......so here goes.......

You are a beacon of hope.....I look up and see you. I can depend on you. I know that I'm not the only one looking at you and that gives me comfort. Tonight I see you....and at some time later, my loved ones half way across the world may also reflect on ur glimmer. We are united in being on the same earth.....sharing a planet....even if we don't share geographical location......

"How I wonder what you are"

I know u are a star. But what does that mean? Are you just a light in the sky....or something more? If you are bigger and greater than what you are......am I also? Do others who see me only reflect on my blinking light......or do they see the whole picture? In wondering what you are.....I wonder what I am.

"Up above the world so high...."

You are unreachable. You are a thing to be looked at and cherished....nothing more. Allah is greater than you. Where some ppl need to see things to believe....with Allah...you have to just believe.....

"Like a diamond in the sky..."

Yes, u are a diamond. Something precious, something valuable.....something just plain gorgeous. Not to be handled or misused......

"Twinkle, twinkle little star....how I wonder what you are.."

We've come full circle. And I'm back to the beginning again. Did I ever think that I had an idea?
