Alhamdulillah........

Today started so early for me.....the kids had the day off school today....and our regular wednesday tutor wanted to come at 9 am. He isn't able to come on Saturday....so he came and stayed for 4 hours. SubhanAllah! So I had the kids up at 8....breakfast.....and some organizing for me. Usually the kids go to school and I fall back asleep. But not today.

The tutor came a bit late, and I kept working on the organizing. He finally left at 1 pm. Then the maid showed up. YAY! So she did the kitchen, the room of the oldest and then my room. She also tidied up around the house. So now the house is spic n span. Alhamdulillah.

I got the hospital bag together. Packed. Only thing that I am missing in it is some juice boxes. So that's done too! Can I have another YAY?

Washed lots of laundry today....again! Still have much to do....but it's definately getting finished up! One of my daughters is putting it on the line......the other one takes it off. I fold it, divide it....everyone puts their own stuff away. Great right?

I went out twice today. Once for a mini walk.....had some things to buy close by. But still felt the strain of walking. Then went out for a proper walk at night. Alhamdulillah. On the second walk, I brought Hubby's clothes to the ironing guy. What a life saver! He said he'll get them back to me by tomorrow, insha Allah. They deliver...so that's good!!!

So far that's house, hospital bag, laundry. Well....still working on the laundry tho....sigh. I haven't washed up the baby clothes. Can you believe I'm worried to? I read that when you are all ready for the baby, and have done the very last thing, that ur mind is prepared, and ur body jumps in line! I really want to have the baby naturally....but am hoping that I hold on till Sunday so Hubby will be here. So my plan? Finish the laundry....then last thing...wash baby clothes! HAHA! I'm outsmarting my body everyone? How great is that? ? LOL!!!!

Friday I'm going to the Farmer's market...insha Allah. Last time as ONE person. I'm taking the maid with me....she's going to be buying most things for me. And the things that I need for Sundays' dinner. In fact...she's coming to my house on Sunday to make that dinner. It's really just too much for me. Alhamdulillah she's a great help.

So here's something weird....before I was going to bring the clothes to the ironing man......my daughter is looking off the balcony at these wild dogs that are hanging around outside.....they are chasing a cat. There are about 6 of them at least. Well, they catch the cat, and all of them tore it to pieces. OMG! I was scared to go out. I took my oldest daughter and we went anyways.....it's scary. I'll be calling the dog killers tomorrow.....I know that sounds horrible.....but read my archives and you'll even find a pic of some of the wild dogs. JEEZ!

And I did something nice.......I painted tshirts for my 10 yr old and my 4 yr old.....
and one for my niece down
stairs.
(I forgot the letter a on the nieces...but I"m going to fix it....) Something to make them all happy when I come home with the new baby. I'm also writing letters to the oldest two. Thanking them for their effort and energy that they have used these last weeks....telling them that I love them and appreciate them....
Part of this was a good friends idea...and part of it was mine. Thanks so much for giving me the idea, buddy. Masha Allah!

So that's an update for now....I really do have lots to say.....and lots more.....but that's enough sitting for now. Stay tuned for the hubby update.....let me just get till Friday before I post it....insha Allah....love to you all....

"I read that when you are all ready for the baby, and have done the very last thing, that ur mind is prepared, and ur body jumps in line!"

LOL, I was ready 2 months before my due date with my last one. I had been really sick with the other 2 and ended up with preemies (10 and 8 weeks early). So I made sure everything was ready ahead of time. All the doctors were convinced I would have him early. He decided to prove them all wrong. He was 6 days late.

Good to hear you were able to get so much done. I hope you get time to relax before heading to the hospital.

I made similar shirts for my boys when I was preg. with the youngest. They really liked them.

You put such a positive spin on things--it's uplifting. And the t-shirts are such a nice idea--so are the letters. It's things like that kids remember forever. As far as getting ready for baby, I think I was ready for my first at least 4 months early. I so loved the baby clothes I used to take everything out of the dresser and rewash it now and again. I loved the smell of the Ivory Snow--I wonder if they even make that anymore? Crazy, I know. But I guess the nesting instinct was so strong. Insha Allah you will deliver safely and enjoy your baby boy.

Thanks Eva.....I love the smell of Ivory Snow too! My mom used to wash all my bro's clothes in that! I think I saw it here once.....not too sure. But they make this good Ariel with Downey laundry soap that smells divine as well. The price proves it!!

AsSalaamu alaikum,

Safa, my dh is going to umrah tomorrow, insha'Allah. I put you on his du'a list!

I love the t-shirts! I have done/still-do-but-not-professionally doula work, and I always make a baby story for my clients. It is one of the things ppl love most, masha'Allah. Your letters are such a great idea, all the girls will cherish them, insha'Allah. Alhamdulillah for what seems like a good relationship with your in-laws.

Hugs,
Juwayriah
