Tag......I'm it.....

10 Things You Do Not Know About Me.

1. I used to play OFSAA Field Hockey, Canadian Team (Converted to islam and quit before the Olympic team was chosen)

2. I took driving lessons to drive one of those huge school buses, but failed both times. (darn back tire kept going over the curb on right turns!!)

3. I spoke French and German fluently before I was 15....but now have basically forgotten both as I've learned Arabic.

4. I am a Mohawk Indian of Six Nations Indian Reserve. My mom is a status indian and lived briefly on the reservation. My Indian name, given to me as a child is "Bright Dawn".

5. At 14, I was contemplating how to become a nun and dedicate myself to the church. (LOLOLOLOL!!!)

6. Jehovah's witnesses used to come to my house 2x a week to instruct me in the way of the Lord, 3 yrs after I converted to Islam. After a year of meetings, they finally gave up! (Not before I got one of them very interested in islam.

7. I am now an Egyptian Citizen....paperwork all in order....tatoo in place!!

8. At 15, I wrote a song called, "My Helpful One" (to which my drama teacher wrote the music to) and performed it in front of 2000 people.

9. As a child, I hated wearing shoes. When I used to go outside to play, I used to hide my shoes in the bushes and run around barefoot all day. (Mom always knew cause my feet would be filthy!)

10. I fell down and fractured my leg bone when I was 8 yrs old. Unknown to my parents, I was born with a bening cyst in my leg bone that was like a hole the size of a silver dollar. The fracture was mere mm from erupting inside the cyst, which would have shattered my leg bone. I had experimental surgery, where doctors opened my back and took a piece of my pelvis and shaped it and inserted it in my leg. Had the leg bone shattered, I would have been crippled for life. (alhamdulillah)

Now who do I tag??????? I think I'll tag Amygdala....her comments are always interesting.......can't wait to read hers!!!

Wow. An impressive list:) ..sounds like there is a lot of brains and strength in that person:)
About the Prozac..yes,you may very well be feeling sick from missing a dose..you should talk to your doctor aboutt this ..going off or missing a dose of any antidepressant can make one horribly sick..that is why when a person come off that kind of medication it must be slowly...verry slowly ..tapering off. Please speak to your doctor before deciding whether to go off or not..
I think you should definately come back to Canada. Your individual rights would be better protected here. You say you want to have a look at credit card bills, etc..do you not know the financial status of your family? this is worrisome hence why I say come to Canada..if there are any surprises you will be safeguarded by law as you are legally married I assume under Canadian law as well. You say you are an egyptian citizen..but you also retain your canadian one do you? your rights as a person and a parent would be equal here..I'm not sure about Egypt..you don't want to run into a situation where you have secondary rights as a parent as I understand can happen in some Islamic countries.
I am pulling for you, girl. YOu sound smart, interesting and full of potential..you deserve better.

Brains and strength still present, much diminished due to senility and old age. (34!!) You know what? I don't know the financial status of my family. Haven't known anything about anything in 5 yrs. There simply wasn't any need to. I am legally married under canadian law and egyptian law.......thanks for pulling for me.....problem is....I need a push!

Wow, I thought about becoming a nun too. I still think that if I hadn't become a Muslim that I would have joined a convent.
