A chance to have your writing published!!!

Assalaamu alaikum everyone. I want to tell you all about a great opportunity that's available for all of you in polygynous marriages. My best friend, Ummabdurrahman is very eager to publish this book of hers..but she still is short many pages and needs some more writing. The book, Insha'Allah will be a compilation of Poetry, Short Stories and letters written by women in Polygynous marriages. It's a chance to reach out to other women in these kinds of marriages and see some real life feelings and letters. I think it will be the first of its kind....so please..contribute something....anything....let this book become a reality....JazaakAllahu Khairan.

Here are her guidelines:

If submitting a poem Please no foul language or idol threats to any members. There is no specific length.

If submitting a short story it must be fiction with a length of at least 1000 words, no specifics on how many words it should be but it is a short story not a novel.

If submitting a letter:
1. The letter should reflect your feelings before and or after the marriage. If you are not in this type of marriage please let the letter reflect your feelings if this type of situation should arise.

2. The letter should be no more than 1000 words or 6 paragraphs, whichever comes first.

3. Do not use specific locations, addresses, or names. If it necessary for you to get your point across then those things will be changed to protect identity of all parties involved.

4. You letter does not need to be nice at all but please use poise and class in writing a letter that is unpleasant, write it in good taste.

5. No threats of bodily, emotional or spiritual harm to others including yourself.
Submission of letters, poems, or short stories does not guarantee that yours will be chosen. It is not necessary for you to include your name unless you want to. I have found that some people may want their names included as contributors; Unless you specify that this is your desire your name will not be included in any part of this book and it will not be shared with any parties involved in the writing, proofreading, or publishing of this book. There is no need to proofread your material as this will be done for you. In submitting your writing you forgo all rights attached to it and it becomes the property of myself.
