Cocktail....

The maid was here yesterday.......got the house complete spic........changed some furniture around, too. Best thing is my totally spotless, clean kitchen. BUT....the bookshelf needs to be fixed up again.....it's always the bookshelf......

Yesterday Hubby played with his son for a good 40 mins. All the children were in bed but Mr. Baby wasn't tired. So Baba gets to play!!!! It was nice watching the bonding......Baby liked it when Baba "bit" his fingers.......he kept putting them in his mouth again and again.....cooing at Baba......so precious.

I've always loved the connection between myself and the kids.......so it's extra special to watch this. You know....when baby # 4 was 1 1/2 yrs old, she used to call her father "amu". It used to make me so sad.

The nutty SIL invited us for dinner tonight. LOL!!! I think I'll make something for dessert...... Even if she's nutty......I have to remember that she was a warrior for me. Gotta love her!!!!

I've got 4 days coming up that I've been obsessing over. 4 days all in a row.

Oct 30 - UAR's csection
Oct 31 - my favourite nieces bday (in cda)
Nov 1 - my bday
Nov 2 - a marriage

Each one of these days affect me in different ways......and yes, I've been thinking about all of them.

The Villa - the iron railings for all the balconies are done. Thats 12 railings. 12 railings that weigh just over a tonne. In Egypt, when you are getting ironwork done...you pay by the KG or tonne. They are still working on the two side gates and the front gate. The workers are installing the railings today. I can't wait to see them.

My car with the broken muffler. Ya, well it's the drive shaft. My bad. How on earth did the drive shaft get screwed up? Well, now its parked. No one has time to get it fixed.

Typical Egypt!!! We have this tiny factory. Oh it's SUPER TINY! It's probably the size of your master bedroom.....with two more on top. 3 floor factory....but each floor the size of ur bedroom. Anyways.....yesterday was gov't inspection. If we pass this, we get 10 yrs no taxes from the gov't. Excellent! 2 inspectors came out. 1st one is an old man, 2nd is a much younger girl. As the girl was going around inspecting things.....the old man kept berating her and making her nervous. In front of the girl, the old man says that he's not sure if we've passed, he's going to talk to his supervisors about a couple of things. And then! AND THEN! He whispers to hubby.....I'll pass by your way on Friday and come talk to you about it. Of course the girl didn't hear this. He's dropping by on Friday? His weekend? What the heck?

$$$$

Er.....yeah. He wants a payoff. And unfortunately.....we really don't have any choice, do we? I can't stand gov't workers here.

On my bday......what should I ask for? Do I expect anything? No, not really. But if I need to ask I will. I just want an entire day without responsibilites. Someone wake ME up for Fajr. Someone wake the kids up for school and make their sandwiches. Someone make dinner.

Oh alright!! Someone is my hubby! HAHAHA!!!!
