We didn't fly......

Masha ALLAH, everything was going so smoothly on my end, had the kids up and showered, we were already by 9 am.....my nephew came up and we got the luggages into the car.....doing well. And by 9:20 am, that's it we were ready to go. All of us go downstairs to my BIL's....and find out....?? He went to go do something? WHAT?? That's okay....I wanted to be really early...but early will do. So he comes back.....and we end up leaving at 10:30am. Sheesh.

At the airport, everything goes well, get my luggages in, tickets checked....and then we walk over to get our passports stamped. Problem.

All our passports are new, no stamps, nothing inside. They walk me over to the little room with the horrible paint job, that has the "important guy" in it. He asks me where is my old passport......at home I say. Why does it matter? He wants to see my entry stamp. And he asks me how long I've been in Egypt.....ummm....6 yrs. So he asks me where the little one was born....Egypt, I say. So he says....then she's not in ur old passport, then is she?? Ummm....nope. OKay, then I have to go to the Egyptian passport office and let them stamp her passport as being an egyptian citizen, blah blah blah.

So then after the whole crying bit and whatever else....reasoning...which doesnt work with Egyptian officials......my BIL drives back to the house to get my old passport. The official agrees to let me fly as long as he sees my old passport......

My nephew takes a bus from Asher and plans to meet BIL in the middle of the way....microbus pulls over 1/3 of the way to the meeting point, and stops for 15 minutes......strange?? You bet. Seems like he's picking up somebody but they are late, so he's waiting. C RAP!

By the time BIL makes it to the airport, (he had to find a parking spot first...sheesh!) it was 1:30pm....the plane is scheduled for take off at 1:45.......they radio inside and the other end says....the doors are closed...that's it.

The doors are closed.

When we went to go and get our tickets rebooked, the guy is telling us Sept 14th.....WHAT??????? And by the time we got home, (we've got people working on it) it looks more like insha ALLAH, we'll be flying again on Tuesday morning. Sunday I gotta go to the egyptian passport office and get the stupid stamp!

The girls all cried.....I was choking back the tears, unwilling to let the kids see my upset about it. I kept telling them, Alhamdulillah....there's a reason for this girls. Later last night, my american friends calls me and tells me they found bombs at Heathrow Airport and that they've raised a terror alert in the states...maybe Canada too. So I say alhamdulillah.

Then my hubby calls me last night. He sounded so dejected. So very, very, very dejected. It pained my heart. I was thinking how he must feel. That lately, everything he touches turns sour....and now that he's doing something good.....it too....turned sour. SubhanALLAH. It's the truth. Nothing has been going right for him since the shit hit the fan!! (OH I HAD TO SAY IT!) But he sounded sooooo sad..............I was thinking to myself....."Is he that sad for only us not coming, or is something else going on too??" You know us women, eh?

So, if you had a chance to miss me....well, I'm here until Monday night...insha ALLAH. I'll have that confirmed tomorrow.

PS:....I dreamed about Vin Deisel last night.....go figure!! But MAN!! He was in love with me...which I find hilarious....and I'm telling him....Ummmm....do you think you could accept islam?? LOLOLOLOL......I'm hurting....
