Me, my friends and I.........

I had such a nice time this evening. I invited my American friend and my Denmark friend for dinner. We had a comfortable, relaxed evening and looked at some old pictures. It was so nice being in company that I feel at ease with. So different than spending time with the inlaws. Talking about inlaws....I asked my SIL to come upstairs and stay with us awhile....and she did. She stayed an entire 1/2 an hour, but I am happy that she came up. I have this thing with my SIL, I want her to see that I make friends with good people.......I feel like she thinks I'm a weirdo sometimes. (I suppose I'm really a weirdo all the time....HA HA on her!!)

Anyways....my hubby called while my buddies were here. Seems like the tickets are confirmed now. Alhamdulillah. I'm supposed to be receiving them by Tuesday...leaving on Aug. 10th. I've really got mostly everything done that I wanted to finish. Entire house is sparkling...clothes are all washed...even organized in the dressers and folded. I had some clothes I wanted to buy for the kids, and I got just about all that I needed. So when it comes down to last minute...it's just going to be packing....I gotta think about what else I need with me there, though.

I'm happy......I can't wait to tell the kids. But my oldest has an exam on the 8th and if I tell her now.....it'll throw off her studying.....so I'm gonna tell em when she comes home from her exam....what a surprise it will be, eh?

I'm so excited about seeing my mom. I miss her so much...can't wait to send her the message.....but again, I'm going to wait until I got the tickets in my hand. I'm sort of this worst case scenario kind of person.

I will call the inlaws and tell them. But only the ones who call me. I have some of them who wouldn't pick up a phone to call me if it was a matter of life and death. So I ain't calling them. I'll just call the other two....after my daughter's exam, of course. What a surprise for them too. I'll be leaving 1 1/2 days after I tell them.

I'll be staying in Canada 25 days, insha ALLAH. Who knows...maybe more.

I've got lots to think about now.......I'll talk to you later after I've gathered my thoughts.
