getting ready for a move...
with moving there seems to always be so much to do.
-call and transfer phone service, tv, internet
-cancel utilities at present house....
-begin new utilities at the new one
-go to the post office and have mail forwarded to new address
-sell any unwanted items before leaving
-call and book a truck
-get transfer letters from the kids schools
-go to the new schools and hand them in
-make sure the kids change their cell phone plans
The list can only get longer.
And in another piece of landlord news........my landlord has given me the water bill. He was supposed to give it to me every couple of months....but forgot. It's just over $1000 .... and he wants me to pay it by the 20th. I'm going to ask him to give me copies of the individual bills so that I can verify the amounts. Will be calling the landlord and tenant act about this....

Yowza! That really stinks! Def. call the landlord tenant assoc. about it and work out some sort of payment plan.

I agree with Crymissmichelle. This sounds real fishy to me. I would check every bill that you haven't seen. And if, for whatever reason, he doesn't then DON'T PAY IT! This landlord has been giving you problems and might be trying to squeeze more $$$ out of you.
When I was living in TX I got most of my deposit back from the landlord who said that the apartment wasn't clean enough and wasn't going to give me anything back. Needless to say, after talking to another manager and having him see the apartment, he gave me almost all of it back.
