they pass oh so quickly.....

I'm amazed at how fast the days seem to be passing me. I feel like I'm always on the other side of being caught up....do u know that feeling? Isn't that the same feeling you get when you think you forgot something, but aren't sure?

Yeah, that's the feeling I've been having.

I don't know when it really started....maybe with work....maybe with Sjon asking me to marry him....maybe with my daughter leaving for Egypt. Somehow....something feels unfinished, undone....forgotten. What could it be?

So I sleep at night and dream strange dreams of buying haunted mansions with haunted rooms. I wake some mornings refreshed and alive.........and yet....something is there.

So hard to explain.

Besides that feeling....life is passing too quickly for me. Not sure where a day ends and a new day starts......they all sort of melt into each other until suddenly it's Monday again and we've lost a week.

Anyone have an idea on how to catch time?

Emily Dickinson - On this long storm the Rainbow rose...

On this long storm the Rainbow rose
On this late Morn -- the sun
The clouds - like listless Elephants
Horizons - straggled down

The Birds rose smiling, in their nests
The gales - indeed - were done
Alas, how heedless were the eyes
On whom the summer shone!

The quiet nonchalance of death
No Daybreak - can bestir
The slow - Archangel's syllables
Must awaken her!

Ramadan Mubarak! I know exactly what you mean. I'm pretty sure it's the work thing....you finally are off for the weekend, and then suddenly, it's Monday and back to work we go! I hope all is well with you and your family.

Is Sjon trying out fasting with you?

Are you fasting this year? It's really getting earlier and earlier. It is actually pretty cool here.

I hope everything goes better. SOmetimes I find by writing down my top 10 priorities for a day or a week helps to make sure time doesn't slip by too fast. Deep breathing also helps.

There are dua to say against this feeling of forgetfullness (can't remeber them off the top of my head thus I should go find them and say them so I can remeber ;) )

Hmm on the other hand hate to freak you out but some people say this feeling is caused majorly by jinn and if you're having bad dreams too perhaps you should be reading more Qur'an in the hosue or something to help ward them off. Insha'Allah things go smoother for you and time slows a bit for you to catch your breath.

I really hope your daughter comes around and insha'Allah returns to you, I keep thinking about her and how brave you were to let her go off liek that.
