Ramadan Kareem!!!

Allahu Akram!!!

The month of Ramadan in Egypt is a joy. Where I live is nothing compared to the goings on of downtown Cairo, but still, I love it. I promise to take pics and to show you what it's like here.

Beware....I'm thinking of posting some recipes.......

The first day of Ramadan, we always have dinner with my BIL downstairs. They go as a whole family to pray Taraweeh every night....subhanAllah, even changing around the sleeping patterns of their youngest daughter so that they can go. I've never been one for going to Taraweeh with kids. I pray we all find a comfortable level in our worship where nothing feels like work anymore. Ameen.

Have a great month peoples.......

Ramadan Kareem!

I love the moon phases. I wanted to put that on my blog weeks ago, but couldn't figure out how to do it. You are a better blogger than I, dear Safa :)

You know, I can't figure out what I want to write during Ramadan.

You can write about cool happenings in Egypt and funky detergent bottles.

Do you know that many readers are giving up on blogs during Ramadan because we test their faith and patience?

Well, enjoy what you've got, because you've got a lot :)

Ramadan Kareem from Indiana! :) We started fasting this morning... of course, for the first day, I screwed up my alarm clock and didn't get suhoor. :) That's my life. Funny thing is, I am feeling better today than I have the last four fasting days I made up when I had good suhoors. Weird. Suhoor conspiracy to make you feel worse...

Cheers!
