All I want for Ramadan is my two front teeth!!!

Isn't that right? Did anyone of you every sing that christmas song? I sure did! I was lucky enough to lose both of my front teeth just in time to sing!!
But what I'm thinking about is what I need this Ramadan....and I thought to share an explained list....
Feel free to add to it in the comments section.....
....So here goes...

-more observance of uninterrupted prayer....

not very easy with 5 children, including a nursing baby!

-discipline

if I could just get myself on a more structured day schedule, I'd be happy....

-peace of mind

I'm troubled...I've said it before....and I wish I could just clear my mind

-giving

I love giving during Ramadan....and some inlaws are coming Friday, so I'm trying to think what to give...

-friends....

if Egianqueen could just make sure she took the ramp instead of driving by it 4 times, then I think this need would be covered....(HOW COULD YOU KEEP MISSING IT? Don't forget the chocolate chip cookies next time!)

-less arguing

It's like my two teenage daughters have GONE WILD! Was there peace in my home before they hit puberty? And WHO CARES WHO DRANK THE LAST SIP OF POP IN THE FRIDGE???

-more humour

OH BOY! I need a good laugh...and I'd prefer laughing at someone else besides my self....(methinks this can be rectified as well once Egianqueen comes over...HURRY UP!)

-baking

it relaxes me. I'm looking forward to making a lot of goodies for Eid. Don't think my waistline will agree.

-reading

I'm reading The Major Sins right now. It's interesting...and very scary.

-loving

well, no hope on this one...at least not until another 10 days or so...but who's counting?.....I sure get lots of snuggles and love from my little man....

Anything you all want to add?

As salaam alaikum.

Masha'Allah, busy and stressful times. I promise to keep you in my dua'as.

I wrote a reflection that loosely ties into what your feeling:

Always trust in Allah (swt).

Even when you make critical mistakes, you have not taken over control from Al-Walee. After all the chaos has settled, where you are and how you are is exactly as Allah (swt) had planned.

And so, there should always be trust.

I am a Canadian Muslim and do a little writing, come by insha'Allah whenever you have some time to read.

Ma'as salaama,

nuh ibn

Assalamu alaikum safa,

One of the things I need this ramadan:
To be content with Allah's Decrees.

The good AND the bad.To be patient in the difficult times, and grateful and humble when things are going well.
Easily said but hard to do...
